Can I come to your office? What are the company's working hours on weekdays and weekends? Do you have a parking lot?

Yes. The parking is free and there is always enough space for customers.
We are open every working day from 09:00 to 18:00 at Ruopigenplatz 16, 6015, Lucerne. It is best to make an appointment in advance by calling +41 413554140 or emailing info@mymediaswiss.ch.

To speed up the printing process, you can send your order by e-mail or place it through our website, which is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Then you will not have to waste unnecessary time on the next business day and you will be able to receive the finished product the very next morning.

Can I order multiple print runs in one job?

No, you cannot have multiple print runs printed in one order. Each of your orders must be placed separately.
You can submit different orders and run lengths by e-mail, clearly stating what is for which run.

Can I quickly repeat my order after a certain period of time?

Yes, this is of course possible. After you place an order, you will enter our database, which means that all your orders and layouts will be stored with us and you will be able to return to any of them later and repeat them quickly. It is enough to write us an e-mail or leave a request on the website with the account number of the previous order and the position.

Can we incorporate video effects and animations?

Of course we can integrate a variety of video effects and animations to give your video a special visual look.

Can you create a video in a specific style or genre?

Yes, we are ready to create a video in any style or genre you want.Your wishes are important for us.

Can you create a video with subtitles or translation?

Yes, we can subtitle the video or translate it into another language for your convenience.

Can you create short teasers for social media?

Yes, we can create short and engaging teasers optimized for social media publishing.

Can you insert our logo or brand elements?

Can you provide different versions of the video for different platforms?

Do you offer a delivery service?

How are file sharing and feedback handled?

File sharing and feedback can be done through the communication channels that are convenient for you. We also provide you with access to the files via Google Drive with a storage period of 2 months.

How can I make changes after the video is finished?

After the video is finished, you have the option to make one major and one minor change free of charge. Later changes will be discussed separately.

How can I send layouts?

You can send us layout files in any way you like:
- Bring the original magazine or documentation for copying.
- Record the layout file on a USB stick and bring it to the print shop.
- Email the files to info@mymediaswiss.ch for printing.
- Place an order through the website in the Order section.
- Use a file sharing service.

How do you handle licensing music for videos?

We have an extensive library of licensed music from which we select the right track for your video

How do you work with voice actors?

We have experienced voice actors who can record professional voice-overs according to your wishes.

How is the cost and time frame for creating a video calculated?

The cost and time frame for creating a video depends on the scope of the project and your requirements. We can provide you with an accurate estimate after we become familiar with the details of the task.

How long does it take to calculate an order?

Cost calculation takes place within one working day after acceptance of the order (provided that the customer specifies all required calculation parameters). In some cases, if the order includes more than three different printed products and provides for several different types of finishing or is classified as an order with increased complexity, the duration of the calculation work may be longer. In this case, the cost of the order will be communicated to the customer within two working days. The results of the costing can be obtained in the way convenient for you, which you specify when submitting a costing request.

How long is the source material kept after the project is completed?

We keep the source material for six months after the project is completed.

How soon will I receive my order?

Of course, it depends on the print run and the complexity of the production. We work quite fast, as we have a fully staffed team of specialists and modern high-tech equipment. If necessary, you can order a rush production. This option is payable separately.

I have no experience with printing, what should I do?

We can help you with paper selection and advise you on any questions you may have about your print run. Give us a call or send us an e-mail. For complex orders, it is best to visit our print shop in Lucerne at Ruopigenplatz 20 in person by appointment. On site, you can familiarize yourself with the available papers and samples of the finished product. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss all the details of your order.

Is it possible to change the layout quickly?

It is possible, but not always. If the layout has not started yet, it is possible to make corrections for an extra charge from our designer. If the printing has already started, the issue of corrections will be decided individually, depending on how far the execution has progressed and what needs to be changed.

Is it possible to develop a design layout when ordering printed products in your print shop?

Our print shop has a design department whose team will help you create a layout and implement your idea when you order printed products from our print shop.

My file is not suitable for printing, what should I do?

It often happens that an existing file is not suitable for printing. Contact us, our designers and layout specialists will help you and prepare all files for printing.

Technical requirements for layouts.

For the printing of printed products, it is necessary to strictly comply with the technical requirements in order to obtain a quality product at output. All technical requirements of our printing house can be found in the Layout Requirements section.
In short, the universal format that is easiest to work with is PDF. We also work with the following formats: cdr, tif, psd, ai, indd. This means that you can provide us with a layout created in one of the following programs: PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and other graphics editing programs.
All fonts must be converted to curves or font files must be provided. Raster images at least 300 dpi, with layers not glued together.

What about data protection and data security?

We guarantee the absolute protection and security of your data. No information will be disclosed to third parties without your consent.

What are CMYK and RGB?

CMYK and RGB are two color models. CMYK is used for printing (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) and RGB for the screen (Red, Green, Blue).

What are the steps in the video creation process?

Creating a video usually involves the following steps: gathering information about the project, planning the shoot, shooting, editing, adding effects and sound.

What is blead (trimmed format)?

For example, if your label is 50 x 100 mm, you must provide us with a 54 x 104 label, which means that the image on the label must extend 2 millimeters beyond the edge of the label on each side. This is a so-called blead (trimmed format).

What is Pantone?

The Pantone color model is a widely used standardized color matching system. It is a recognized standard in offset printing and publishing.

What is the difference between coated paper and offset paper?

Coated paper is a high-quality paper used for printing artistically sophisticated publications with full-color printing. It is coated in one or more layers (the surface of the paper is coated with a layer of a mixture of chalk, kaolin and binders), while offset paper does not have this layer and is mainly used for printing publications with textile illustrations.

What is the minimum print run of an order?

The minimum print run with which we start the calculation is 1 copy. Remember that the smaller the print run, the higher the cost per copy.

What is the process of choosing the right music for the video?

We offer you music options that match the mood and style of your video. After your approval, we apply the selected track.

What is your policy regarding the rights to the created content?

You get full rights to the content created. We assign all necessary rights to you to use the video as you see fit.

What options do you offer for adding graphics and text?

We offer a variety of options for integrating graphics and text into a video. This can include annotations, subtitles, visual elements, and more.

What source formats and resolutions do you support?

We support a wide range of source formats and resolutions, including jpg, png, pdf, mp4, mov, and others.

What suggestions do you have for video promotion and distribution?

What types of printing do you perform?

Our company has modern machinery for both digital and offset production, as well as for print finishing.
The type of printing performed depends on the print run and the specifics of the product. For example, in the case of a large print run, offset printing is more economical, while digital printing is more suitable for a small print run.

Which paper should I choose?

The most important parameter describing the paper is its weight in grams per 1 meter square.
- Offset paper usually has a density of 65, 80 or 160 g/m. It is suitable for printing letterheads, inner blocks of brochures or books, catalogs, notebooks and other printed matter for business or educational purposes.
- Coated papers with weights of 90, 115, 150, 200, 250 and 300 g/m are among the most commonly used papers today. They are characterized by a smooth, non-slip surface. Coated papers can be glossy or matte. Coated papers are most widely used among materials for advertising and business printing, color magazines, photo albums, brochures and promotional printing in general;
- There are many different types of designer papers - they are expensive (sometimes by an order of magnitude) papers that can have different hues, metallized surfaces, porous or textured material textures, and other tactile qualities to the touch. Unfortunately, not all of these papers print well digitally if they are heavily filled or contain photos. Because of the hues of the paper, the colors can be distorted. But any production on designer paper looks very chic. Each case working with such products is different, and it is necessary to discuss the future order in advance with the head of the printing house.

Which parameters should I choose as a customer?

With the type of product, the product format, the type of paper, the print run, the color, the type of binding and the number of pages in a copy. It is also useful to talk about print finishing. The print shop manager will help you define these parameters if you do not have a clear request.

Why can two prints that were printed at different times but from the same layout differ in color?

Because the repeatability of a print is influenced by many factors, both mechanical and human. In order to accurately repeat a print, the parts of the press (e.g., their wear) must be in exactly the same condition as before. The material is purchased at the same time and from the same manufacturer, the inks are mixed at the same time from the same pigments or made in-house, and even the printer and his skill must be the same.

Why does my company need a professional video?

A high-quality video attracts attention, improves brand perception, increases engagement, highlights key points, and effectively communicates the company's message to potential and existing customers by enhancing its image and professionalism in the eyes of the audience.

Why is there no complete price list for services?

The cost of printing printed products is calculated individually, it depends on many factors and the complexity of the order: the type of product, print run, paper density, color, the presence of embossing, congreve, lamination, the number of folds, creases, holes and much more. And, if necessary, the delivery address.
